March definitely was a month to remember and in some ways the kick off of Hunt & Gather’s first wedding season and what better than a Gladstone Hotel wedding. Niki and Dave got married on one cold/windy day (as you can see in the photos) and truly brought in warmer vibes with a ton of foliage (including a foliage curtain).
I know it is bad to say, but when a bride cries over her blooms, you know you did a good job. Maybe the flowers really made Niki feel like things were real but I definitely got the water works (sorry girl).
I am a big colour nerd as most of you may know and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the photos from Ally & Nicholas. All of the photos have this antiqued, moody yet warm feel and I am just in love. With a Gladstone Hotel wedding you really have to play up on those warm boho vibes and I always urge couples to opt in to using their Persian rug backdrop.
Sometimes when things are super grey outside, all you crave is the green of spring. I think it is so important to bring as much green as possible to any winter event and let your guests escape for the night. Foliage curtains are so much fun to make and the gentle cascading vines create a wonderful ceremony backdrop and can later be used as a photo booth.
