As most of you know, I have been a florist for quite sometime (going on 11 years now). Throughout this time I have planned and executed over 500 weddings, but still there is something really special about my first official Hunt and Gather wedding.
Tess was one of my fave clients from the beginning. She had the uttermost trust in me as a creative and pretty much just told me she liked “smokey colours” (a.k.a my dream). We me before I had a store and while I was still doing consults out of my dear friend Scarlet O’Neill’s studio and although I didn’t have much, she trusted me and let my little creative wings fly.
Tess & Tim said their vows at City Hall with their nearest and dearest. They then strolled around the downtown core taking some incredible photos (by Inna Yasinska) with some classic Toronto staples. I love this city more than anything and these photos just scream home to me.
They then headed to Annette Food Market for some delicious food with about 15 of their closest friends in family. At Annette Food Market, there is this incredible back room which is perfect for a small private gathering.
Although I adore doing florals for large scale events, there is something that hits close to home about a small intimate gathering. Sometimes I feel if I were to get married, it would be very in line with Tess and Tim’s. Keeping it simple, with the people you love most and doing things that represent you as a couple.
